Handcrafted in Britain

Kit Marsden - Session drummer:
also percussionist, pianist, Composer, songwriter, arranger, & educator

I have been a full-time musician since the age of sixteen - both teaching and performing. In that time, I have played many different styles of music, with function bands, rock covers groups, various original projects, brass bands, jazz groups and many different orchestras. As a teacher, I have taught drumkit, percussion and piano privately and in local schools, and worked as a tutor with local youth orchestras and other youth music projects.

I share the Carrera passion for high-quality, British-built instruments, with a focus on creating "the ultimate drum sound", and I was honoured to be asked to join the Carrera family from 2011.

I am currently playing "vintage style" birch shells, with ebony hoops from the Carrera "Sound" range. These resonant, warm-sounding drums are light-weight and portable, but have a surprisingly big sound for such small sizes, making them perfect for regular gigging and travelling.

In the studio, my "Sound" kit has already gained a reputation for producing clear tones, and a warm, rounded sound, when under the microphones, with sound engineers and artists commenting on the quality of the drums. For myself, as a musician, quality of sound is extremely important and I am delighted to have achieved some of the best recorded drum sounds of my career to date using Carrera products.
