Hardcore snare launch

JoBeky UK Custom Drum Fair

We will be proudly exhibiting at the forthcoming JoBeky UK Custom Drum Festival on May 2nd 2010 and, along with our Classic range, we will be introducing our new HARDCORE range of snare drums. The HARDCORE range has been developed to deliver a slightly dryer and more controlled sound reminiscent of well-known "recording" series drums of the past, but still punch through in un-miced gig situations.

After officially launching Carrera Drums at the first JoBeky UKCDF, we eager to display what we have been up to for the last few months at this year's bigger and even better show. Many fellow UK-based custom drum makers will be there and we will be entertained by some of the finest drummers and educators.

Simon Mellish takes delivery of the first Carrera Classic Custom kit

Dave Carrera and Simon Mellish

We were proud to deliver Simon's bespoke Carrera kit and watch it being played at his clinic which featured Pat Petrillo and Colin Woolway at Mudeford Wood Community Centre, Christchurch, Dorset. The kit was specially designed to give Simon the sound he was after to promote his soon to be released album. Featuring our Classic range of shells, the configuration is an 18x18" bass drum, 8x8" and 10x8" toms and a 12x10" floor tom. The kit delivers clear tones, each drum clearly in its own sound space and the baby 18x18" bass drum she gives the big boys a run for their money. Finished in our hand applied "Ocean" stain with over 20 coats of French polish per drum. Simon and his new kit can be seen and heard at the JoBeky UK Custom Drum Fair 2010.
